Diabeties related or something else?

i found out a few weeks ago that i had type 2 diabeties. i went in the doctors office complaining of a ton of symtoms and also had flu like symtoms. the doctor prescribed metformin and sent me out the door. i have seen a counselor and a nutritionist. i go back to the doctor this friday. i have not felt myself for a couple months now. still on and off feeling sick. almost everyday in the evenings i get these aweful headaches and i dont know why. there so bad it can put me in tears and i have to go to bed for the night. nothing over the counter works. im trying to drink more water and ive even tried ice packs. i still get hot and cold chills and dizzy spells. i have been following the diet. low carbs and eating more often. my blood sugar reading have been between about 72- 120. ive only had a few crazy readings but nothing too high. im doing nothing but working anymore and sleeping. what could all this mean? how do i get my doctor to listen to me that something isnt right?
