What do the moon landing sites look like today? Has anyone taken telescope photos of Tranquility Base eg?
We have excellent satellite photos of earth. I'm wondering what the Apollo moon landing sites look like today. In theory there should be no changes since there is no atmosphere and therefore no erosion from wind or water. But perhaps there are signs of meteor showers. Or unusual footprints that do not match ours! How's that rover doing? Does it still sport that jury-rig fender the astronauts fabricated from their lunar maps so that the wheel wouldnt kick up so much lunar dust? All the astronauts left equipment behind. At the last minute they chucked their PLSS (backpacks) out the door to save weight for the take-off. Someday we will be able to visit these sites as tourists (someday). What will they look like? Perhaps our scientists have taken recent photos but the photos are generally unavailable for m circulation.
