Can I still be successful in journalism (either print or broadcast)?
I am about to graduate from my undergraduate institution with a Bachelor's degree in Speech/Communication Studies. Is it possible (or likely) that I'll be able to get work in some form of print or broadcast journalism? My long term goal is to be bi-vocational -- journalist and pastor (I still have plans to attend Seminary later) -- but I'm not so sure how likely I am to be hired in journalism without a degree in journalism or English (or an internship with a paper or television station). I have remarkable writing and public speaking skills but no formal education in journalism. I don't necessarily see me doing a Master's program in journalism.
