I rebooted my computer (win xp home ed.) and when puttin the product key in one of the ons wont work?

i was told i could d/l a program that deletes the key but i dont know what to look for. my comp is useless with out the product key so therefor i need it everytime i turn it on it asks for the product key before i can go onto startup
