Why do so many American women do this? Is it ignorance? Difficulty reaching because of weight?

How do you know that they do? I mean, do you crouch under the toilet and watch them or something? And how many women would you have to watch doing this in order to conclude that it is a widespread habit in America? It must leave you with very little time to do anything else.
